I had planned to buy the new book and DVD but in the table of contents I can find absolutely nothing pertaining to SCANNING PHOTOS or any change in the procedeure for scanning. Scanning does not work like it has for many pictures. Please tell me what and how the changes are. !!!!!

Check your version … go to Help | About Picasa. You should see a build number.
In build number 79.69 the fixed an issue where certain scanners weren’t recognized when importing. If your version is earlier than that, then an upgrade may fix your issue. fyi – scanning into Picasa still works the same for me – so 3.5 didn’t break the feature, although it does have a problem with some scanners.

THE PICASA TIP :SCANNING OLD PHOTOS by Chris Guld on January 6, 2009. Is an exellent article and I have used the procedure many times. Now this procedure no longer works. Tell mer where I can find the newer procedure please. !!
